florals in the wind.

So in the past few days, it's gotten cold—the kind of weather that makes you think, "Oh, it really is December and almost winter. I sure liked that totally not seasonally appropriate weather we were having before." I'm not a huge fan of the cold, but what I dislike even more is high wind in the cold. And that's what yesterday was, when I went out to take pictures. And everytime I went to take a picture a new gust of wind would blow. But I persevered...although there is one picture of me squinting because the cold wind was right in my face. Which of course I was overjoyed about. Anyways.

I'm wearing:
Jacket: Jack by BB Dakota via Urban Outfitters
Blouse: Forever 21
Long sleeve shirt: Primark
Skirt: swapped
Leggings: Old Navy
Boots: shop in Oxford
Scarf: Urban Outfitters
Necklace: antique, gift
Rings: festival vendor, gift

This outfit is a bit different for me primarily because I don't normally wear long, relatively flowy skirts. But when Katie spotted this at the dewdropDC swap (recap here), I couldn't say no to the floral print. I think I may give it to my friend Mary (the one who inspired the color wheel challenge), because although I like it, it's much more her style and I found it rather difficult to style with my wardrobe.

In actual real life news, I FINISHED MY HONORS SENIOR THESIS! I'm so excited about it it's not even funny. It's just the first draft, but getting past that was a huge hurdle for me. I really procrastinated about writing it, but it ended up being 27 pages (the requirement was 15) that I'm really proud of. I know I'll have edits and it's going to evolve over the next semester, but at least now it exists. I also accepted an internship position for the Spring that I'm really excited about—I'll be doing graphic design for a nonprofit in DC. Also, an entire gallery of my photos was published on an online news site this week—but more on that tomorrow! It's been a really exciting week, and I'm really lucky that even though I'm ridiculously busy, all these good things are happening. That said, I'm so ready to be done with this semester! I'll be going back to working full time at the job I had over the summer (the one I had to dress all professionally for), which I'm pretty excited about, even though that means I won't have much of a winter break. And then once winter break is over I'll start my internship! Aaah!

Anyways, enough of my jabbering about my life. How are you all?!

Have a great rest of the week! Tomorrow's Friday, huzzah!
