thrifted pattern.

Belated Happy Easter! I hope you had a great holiday weekend filled with chocolate!

Lately I've found myself repeating in my head a phrase that my mom & my boss say a lot: "there aren't enough hours in the day." It's true. I'm always busy around this time of year, but I feel like no matter what there just aren't enough hours to get everything done at work and everything done at home. So I haven't had much time for blogging lately, unfortunately. Also, my primary camera lens broke. So there's that. I'm working on getting it replaced but in the mean time, my other two lens' are extremely difficult to take self portraits with and, it turns out, my digital camera does not have a self timer (seriously, what is up with that?!). So outfit photos haven't been happening much lately.

But here is what I wore to a work-related event this past Friday.
Photos by my boyfriend.

I'm wearing:
Blazer: Gap
Blouse: Ann Taylor (gift)
Skirt: thrifted (originally UO)
Tights: Target (possibly?)
Boots: Target
Necklace: Urban Outfitters

I found this skirt for $5 on a recent thrifting trip (which was very overdue & very successful!) & I loved the quirky pattern—then I looked at the tag & saw it was by Cooperative, which is a brand I've seen & purchased from Urban Outfitters before. Instantly it was in my basket! It's a really soft fabric too. Score!

Totally unrelated but I just bought tickets to go see Jurassic Park in 3D with my boyfriend this weekend and I'm really excited. It wasn't that long ago that I saw the movie for the first time after reading the book over the summer (The Lost World is equally good; I recommend it), so I'm looking forward to seeing it on a big screen. I'm a little concerned about the whole t-rex coming at me in three dimensions thing though... Is anyone else going to see it in 3D?

Hope you're having a great week! More posts coming soon, I promise! :)
