Modern Vintage Shop & Social

Hello lovelies! So last night the lovely Lisa of Quarter Life hosted a great little get together for vintage lovers at Nana, and after much walking around DC, I finally made it there!

Why was I walking all over DC you ask? Because my phone—and Google Maps—messed up, and gave me the right address but the wrong directions. So after walking a mile to U Street from my internship and realizing I was in the wrong neighborhood, I then had to walk a few more blocks to the closest metro, and then get on the metro to go one stop, and then walk 2 or 3 blocks to Nana. Now, I also did all this walking in new heels that I hadn't broken in yet that unfortunately, I discovered, are a little big on me (I stopped to buy insoles, it was worth it). So by the time I got to Nana I was so glad to be out of the rain and to not be walking anymore! And there were cookies, so I was happy.

After recounting my epic tale (I know, I know, eyeroll), I was able to peruse the vintage and met some lovely ladies, including Brenda, Naja, and Kaarin, among others. Here are some photos that the lovely Jackie snapped (I had my camera with me but didn't use it at all, shame!).

Cue cheesy photo wall pose.

I'm wearing:
Dress: vintage
Shoes: Rachel Antonoff for Bass
Hot mess hair: courtesy of the rain

Me and Lisa. Our faces crack me up.

Isn't this green dress gorgeous?

I had to try it on.

And I loved it so much that I bought it!
I'm pretty excited, it's gorgeous and in perfect condition, and I now have something green in my wardrobe!

All in all, a great night! I'm so glad I went.
More photos on Facebook!

And, um, apologies for my hot mess hair. Silly rain had to go & ruin my good hair day!
Oh, and Happy March!
