weekend warrior.

I can't believe it's Wednesday already. This week has been a blur, and today has been the worst. I came down with a bad cold on Monday (with such a bad headache & chills that I worked from home for the second half of the day), then called in sick (for the first time ever) yesterday, and today I was feeling well enough to go in but of course didn't accomplish everything I wanted to. And here is the justification of my hatred of parking garages: I had to go somewhere for work & I parked in my normal spot in the garage I always park in, and I came back to my car to find it had been side-swiped—of course, there was no note. Not pleased.

But before the crappiness of this week, I had a really good weekend. On Saturday I met up with my friend Katie and we wandered around DC all day, which we hadn't done in a while. I used to see her everyday in college so it's weird that now there are large gaps in which we don't see each other. First we went to Eastern Market (somehow I had never been there before), then to Barracks Row, then to see the Cherry Blossoms!

The cherry blossoms aren't quite fully out yet, but they're still gorgeous.

(and a silly picture, just because)

I'm wearing:
Jacket: Forever 21
Shirt: Target
T-shirt: Threadless
Scarf: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Old Navy
Boots: Crown Vintage / DSW
Necklace: vendor at Mayhem Fest
Sunglasses: Jones New York via Marshalls

I figured since it was Saturday that I'd wear something I can't wear to work, and something comfortable since we would be walking around a lot. Simple, but probably one of my favorite casual outfits.

On the upside, I got a new camera lens (courtesy of my work)! Hence why these photos look awesome.  And I have lots of new Five Photo Friday material that I'm quite excited to share.

Now back to watching Buffy for me (being sick also means I can't work out, unfortunately).
Have you gone to see the cherry blossoms yet?
