cool things of the week #5: recipe round-up.

In lieu of an outfit post (I had wanted to post Monday's outfit but I'm not pleased with how the photos turned out), I decided to do another cool things of the week post—it's about that time of the week anyways. I've been trying a lot of healthier or healthy substitution recipes lately, and I wanted to share some I've tried this week as well as some of my favorites.

These are so delicious, and so easy to make! I've made these at least three times now and my boyfriend gets so excited when I make them. They taste even better than fried ones! And check out the other recipes—this blog has some great ones!

These are great pre-workout snacks—they really do give you energy because there's so much protein. And you can add in some sweet stuff (chocolate chips, coconut) to drown out the less appetizing flaxseed (which isn't even that bad!). Definitely going to make these again.

(An instagram from when I made them)
These are a great guilt-free breakfast muffin, and only 93 calories in one muffin! They're not super easy to make, but well worth it. These are on my list of things to make again.

I saw this recipe on Pinterest on Monday morning and decided I was going to make it that night (I even had all the ingredients already!). I'm so glad I did; it's super easy, delicious, and made for a total of four meals (if you eat 1 cup per meal, which totals to ~150 calories). If you've never had quinoa I highly recommend it—it's like a healthier, protein filled version of cous cous.

If you're looking for more recipes—healthy or not so much—check out my Recipes Pinterest board. Beware, there are a lot of delicious looking baked goods on there. It can be dangerous.

Let me know if you try or have tried any of these, and what you thought!
Have a great night!
