My mom got two of these (one blue & one green) for me & my husband and I love them. They're illustrated by Leah Reena Goren, who does the best cat illustrations.

You guys probably already know how much I like ilikeCATS, and these new watches are so cute.

This was the only set of outfit photos I took last week, because I really loved this outfit.

One of my favorite things about fall is being able to wear this dress, and the fact that I could mix it with a different plaid was a bonus. I also felt like this was very vintage inspired and I really liked that.

comfy cozy.

I wore this the day we were supposed to go to the Renaissance Festival, but they decided not to open because everything was really damaged and muddy from the storms. So it ended up being a relaxing Sunday at home, which we really needed (we had been trying to keep busy after saying goodbye to Viv).

My mom calls this my "old lady sweater" but I don't care because I love it. It's ridiculously comfortable, has pockets, and is a good size. A lot of oversized sweaters I've tried will swallow my middle and are tight on my arms, but this has the perfect proportions. And I'm still so glad I found this dress for $9 after looking for a red plaid dress for ages last year (or was that this year?).

I didn't realize until just now that this outfit is all ModCloth & Old Navy (that seems to happen a lot). I got this top on sale and it's not my usual style but I really like it because it has some subtle but nice details.

I'm trying to get better about taking outfit photos after work with my new schedule—and with the daylight fading earlier, that means back to indoor photos. And this was probably one of my last bare legged outfits for the season. Right now I'm excited about tights but in a month I'm sure I'll be tired of them.

Vivienne.

 

I didn't think I would have to do a post similar to this one only a year and a half later, but here we are. I haven't been posting much because three weeks ago we found out our cat Vivienne had cancer. It was a very aggressive and fast moving cancer, and this past Friday we had to make the very difficult decision to say goodbye. It was all very sudden and hard on us. She was twelve years old but really healthy otherwise and the cancer came out of nowhere; we both thought we would have many more years with her.

She was a great cat with a personality as big as she was, with so many little quirks. We miss her terribly already and it's been really hard to cope with. So if you have a pet, go hug them.
