windy days in D.C.

I'm the kind of person that will wear a frilly pink strapless dress on a cold and windy day. Not always on purpose, but it happens. The weekend after Valentine's Day, when my boyfriend and I went into D.C. to see the monuments (how I've been living in the DC metro area for the past three years and hadn't seen all the major monuments is beyond me, I'll just blame school), it was a very windy day. So windy that the newspaper dispensers had blown over. But, we prevailed. And being the good sport that he is, my boyfriend took my outfit photos :D

Dress: from a shop in Camden, London

And once my boyfriend gets a hold of my camera, he just keeps snapping...

And one of my favorites of the Vietnam Wall, which is a very powerful and well designed memorial.
I also got some great shots with my Pentax, which I finally found hiding in my house. It had been years since I'd shot a roll of film, so I'm pretty pleased with how they came out. I will scan them in soon.
(All photos courtesy of my boyfriend, except for the last one.)

Expect more posts soon!

  1. so I'm sure you think I'm stalking you (I'm not, I swear!) but I had to laugh at this post because if you go to my photo site and look at the pictures of Kitty Hawk last year you'll see a whole series of me walking towards the camera because I happened to give it to Spencer to shoot and he just won't stop snapping!
