gold accents.

This may be one of my favorite work outfits. I liked it so much that I still photographed it (even in subpar light) even after taking a 3 hour nap...hence the wrinkles.

What I'm wearing:
Dress: Old Navy
Cardigan: gift (old Ann Taylor)
Necklace: thrifted/DIY
Shoes: thrifted

So there's a bit of a story behind both the necklace and the shoes. I actually made the necklace out of a really cool brooch I found that didn't work too well on sweaters since it wasn't evenly weighted. So I decided to try it as a necklace—and I'm really pleased with how it turned out (and it took all of 2 minutes to put together).

And the shoes are a recent thrift score I'm really proud of—but I have to thank Brenda because otherwise I never would've seen them! They were in the wrong size section but thankfully she spotted them and they fit! They're basically brand new and were only $10! So this whole outfit cost me about $28: $15 for the dress, cardigan was a gift, brooch for the necklace was about $3, and the shoes were $10. Wins all around.
